JAVA: A GRAPHICAL APPROACH
By Vincent

Welcome to the Online Learning Centre for Java, A Graphical Approach!

Here you can find a host of information about the book, as well as a range of downloadable supplements for students and lecturers.

The book can be used at all levels. It introduces component style programming as an early preparation for JavaBeans, and the approach can equally be used to introduce the most basic programming ideas.

It takes a graphical approach to teaching programming for use on mainstream computing courses and it motivates by getting students to do graphics and animation programming very early on. Object Technology then follows out of such practical experience.

The book is aimed not only at mainstream computer science courses, but also at the growing number of courses that mix 'Computing' and 'Media'.
