1. Company Information

Founded in 1988, by former teacher John Green, Kingscourt/McGraw-Hill is now one of the leading publishers of resources for Key Stages 1 to 3.

We were the first UK publisher to produce crafted Big Books for Shared Reading. We were also the first publisher in the UK to produce purpose-written resources for Guided Reading (Literacy Links Plus).

We currently have 9 sales representatives covering the United Kingdom. If you would like to become part of the Kingscourt/McGraw-Hill sales force, see the jobs section on our about us page.

In the year 2000 Kingscourt became part of the McGraw-Hill Companies, internationally renowned for resources for children of 4 years old to University and beyond.

2. How do I use this site?

We have designed our website so that it is fast, informative and accessible. We understand that busy teachers rarely have time to surf the net either in class or during break and that you must be able to readily access the information you need.

Our homepage is designed to navigate you around our site based on several criteria. You can find what you are looking for by subject matter and genre, by product, or by clicking on our What’s New and Special Offer links.

We have divided the homepage into three main curriculum categories: Literacy, Numeracy and Teacher’s Resources.

Literacy
Simply click on the Literacy menu bar to access seven key areas within the National Literacy Strategy. Core Resources, Special Needs, Digital Resources, Non-Fiction, Cross-Curricular, Writing, Free Downloads.

Numeracy
Simply click on the Numeracy Menu bar to access three key areas within the National Numeracy Strategy and the Daily Mathematics Lesson. Core Resources, Digital Resources, and Cross Curricular.

Teacher’s Resources
Teacher’s Books & videos, MatchWord, and KOOK.

3. Find what you want

You can find what you are looking for by choosing one of the 3 menu bars on the homepage and then selecting the submenus within each of the 3 main sections, Literacy, Numeracy and Teacher’s Resources.
Alternatively, use our Resource Finder tool to locate the resource you want. Select your criteria and the resource finder will select resources that match your needs.

4. How do I order?

Catalogue Request
To order one of our new product catalogues, select the ordering button on the top of the page then click on further information to open a special pop-up window. Alternatively click on any of the catalogue covers that you come across on the site and this will open the pop-up window.
Tick the box for the area of interest you require, complete your contact details and hit “send”. Instantly, you will receive a confirmation on screen that your email has been sent, and you will receive a personal reply from us within 24 hours to acknowledge your query or to confirm that your catalogue request has been dispatched. Please do not forget to submit your full postal address and contact details to enable us to respond promptly!

IMPORTANT! Currently our website is not e-commerce so we do not recommend that you submit your credit card or school account details via email, as this information is not encrypted.

UK and Europe Schools wishing to order online
Once you have browsed our site, to place an order click on the ordering page. You have 3 options with which to place your order. You can contact the Customer Services department directly, contact your local rep, or use our online order form.

If you are a school that wishes to use the online order form, please note that you will be notified by email that we have received your order. Customer Services will then process your order and an invoice will be issued to your school along with your books. Any items not available at the time of ordering will be sent as soon as possible with a separate invoice. Unfortunately some titles become out of print. You will be informed of this and you will not be charged for any items that have become out of print.

UK and Europe Private Customers / Bookshops wishing to order online
If you are a private customer or a bookshop using our online order form you will be contacted by telephone by Customer Services upon receipt of your email to arrange your payment details either by credit card or by cheque.

Overseas Customers
For our customers in Australia, New Zealand and the United States of America please order via our international website at http://www.wrightgroup.com

5. How can I contact my local rep?

If you would like to see your local representative either select ordering and under the section headed Your Local Sales Representative click on the map or refer to the list of areas to locate your local representative. Please contact your representative directly using the telephone number provided. If you receive a voicemail message, leave a short message stating your name, job title, area of interest and suggest if there is a particular time that you would like an appointment (i.e. before school, lunchtime, after school). Please note that our sales force do not work on commission.
